Jeff Gordon, who will drive a specially painted DuPont/National Guard Chevrolet Impala during the 500-mile event, has eight top-10 finishes in his last nine starts at the 1.54-mile Atlanta Motor Speedway.
Overall, he has four wins, two poles, 14 top-fives and 23 top-10’s in 35 starts at the Georgia track. H-Man, Gordon seems to be on a mission this year. I think he sees Jimmy Johnson with 4 championships and he doesn't want to fall behind him. He just seems to be more determined this year than the past two or three. Guess we will see as the season unfolds.

I had him in our pool last week and dang if Johnson didn't come on and beat him.
